Olive J. (Glass) Wahl, 92, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday morning, October 24, 2014 at Parkvue Health Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Olive was born on May 18, 1922 in Sandusky, OH to the late Jack and Mable (Diltz) Glass.
Olive graduated from Margaretta High School. Before retiring in 1983 she was the office manager at Bay Area Radiologists, and earlier had been employed with the former Good Samaritan Hospital in the Credit Department. Olive was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Moose and Elks Club, the Erie County Medical Assistants Association, and the Winnebago Ohio Wondering Winnie's. In her spare time she enjoyed doing crafts, crewel thread work, camping, traveling and spending her winters in Winterhaven, Florida with her special friend John Cutter. She most enjoyed her time with family and friends.
Olive is survived by her son, Jack (Cherol) Wahl of Milan, OH; grandchildren, Matthew (Karen)Wahl, Tina (Mark) Tamburrino and Mike (Laura) Wahl; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Noah, Christopher and Zoey; her daughter- in- law, Anna Wahl of Jeanette, PA; and numerous other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Olive is preceded in death by her husband, Chester G. Wahl; son, James Wahl; and special friend, John Cutter.
Friends may call on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 10 AM until the time of the memorial service at 11AM at the Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. The Pastor Timothy Nilsen of St. Paul Lutheran Church will officiate. Private family burial will take place in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
