Diana "Diane" Asman

Diana "Diane" Asman, 66, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday evening, October 23, 2014 at Cleveland St. Vincent Charity Hospital.

Diane was born on September 7, 1948 in McComb, OH to the late John and Lois (Boyer) Spitsnaugle.

Diane graduated from McComb High School in 1966 and received her Bachelor of Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University in 1969. She retired from Berlin Heights elementary school in 1989 and was employed at Creative Teaching Educational Store. Diane was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses in Sandusky. She enjoyed baking and was known as the "cookie lady" to many. Diane enjoyed sewing, reading, cross-stitching, spending time with her family, children and especially her grandchildren. She was a very loving and caring person, and always doing for others.

Diane is survived by her husband, Scott L. Asman, whom she married on December 20, 1969. She is also survived by her daughters, Katrina Asman of Kalamzoo, MI and Lori (Jeremy) Brown of Davidson, NC; grandchildren, Cooper and Blakeley Brown; sister, Patricia (William) Rose of Defiance, OH; brother, James (Deb) Spitsnaugle of McComb, OH and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Friends may call at 1:00 pm until the time of her memorial service at 2:30 pm on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses, 608 King St., Sandusky with Tom Sarna presiding. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory are assisting the family with arrangements.
