Dusella "Sis" Chapman, 61, of Norwalk, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord after a very heroic 8 year battle with breast cancer, Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, Ohio.
She was born January 20, 1953 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Robert L. and Donna B. (Allison) Ratliff and was a lifelong area resident.
Sis was a member of the New Covenant Lighthouse Church, and had taught Sunday School, and Kids Church for many years. She was a former employee of Norwalk Furniture, Firelands Radiology, and was a member of Eagles Aerie #711 Auxiliary. Sis donated her time and talents to many different area organizations. She was a past member of the Huron County Humane Society and sewed many costumes for the Towne and Country Theatre throughout the years. Sis also enjoyed attending her kids and grandkids school and other activities, sewing and quilting, cooking, entertaining and family gatherings. Above all, she was an excellent wife, mother, and grandmother.
Sis is survived by her husband of 46 years, Edward L. "Jr." Chapman, Jr. of Norwalk, Ohio, by her children, George F. (Cathy) Chapman of Norwalk, Ohio, and Heather A. (Kipp W. Rumlow) of Norwalk, Ohio, and by her grandchildren, Hunter Lee Chapman Klein, and Ashley Nicole Seger. She is also survived by her siblings, Kenneth E. (Jenny) Blystone of Norwalk, Ohio, Steve Blystone of Norwalk, Ohio, John (Judy) Ratliff of Norwalk, Ohio and Wauneta (Larry) Stinson of Norwalk, Ohio.
Sis was preceded in death by her brother, Dana Blystone. Friends may call on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Friends may also call on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Pastors Rodney Hollen, William Enderle, and Kenneth Blystone will officiate. Interment will be in Milan Cemetery.
