Carrie Mae (Copeland) Mitchell

Carrie Mae (Copeland) Mitchell, residing in Toledo and formerly of Sandusky, went on to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in her daughter's home in Toledo, Ohio.

She was born on July 16, 1928 in Baldwin, Miss.

She was a member of Cornerstone Church in Toledo under Bishop Michael Pitts, and formerly was a longtime member of Kingdom Lifestyle Ministries (now The River Church) under Veno Kuhl.

Carrie Loved spending time with her family, especially her -great grandkids. She also enjoyed crafts, crocheting, gardening, and listening to music. She enjoyed watching The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. Carrie retired from Prepared Foods after 20 years of service, and received a certificate of recognition for never being late or missing a day during her entire employment.

Carrie is survived by her only child, Eula (John) Van Hall, of Toledo; sister, Willie Mae Davis, of Gary, Indiana; grandson, Anthony Lane, of Sandusky; granddaughter, Tondra (Clifton) Frisby, of Sandusky; four great-grandsons, Jermel Lane, Antron Lane, and Larry D. Keys, Jr., all of Sandusky, and Isaac (Christina) Hurst, of Hampton, Virginia; four great-great-grandchildren, Jelisa Lane, of Fremont, Ohio, and Cherish Lane, Josiah Lane, and Jace Lane, all of Sandusky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, "The Captain" Willie Lee Copeland; father, Wiley C. Copeland; and brother, Norvin C. Copeland.

Friends may call from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Veno Kuhl will officiate. Committal services will take place on Wednesday at 11 A.M. at Perkins Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the following services: Wildwood Dialysis Center, Alzheimer's Daycare Center, and Hospice of Northwest Ohio, all of Toledo.
