Patrecia C. Bryant Sizemore, 79 of Sandusky, went to be the Lord on Friday, November 7, 2014, in Stein Hospice Care Center, after a brief illness.
Pat was born in Sandusky on May 22, 1935, and was a graduate of Sandusky High School Class of 1953.
She retired from New Departure Hyatt, and then went to work for the Erie County Clerk of Courts office where she retired again just four years ago.
She was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she was active on the Deaconess's Board. Her work with the local chapter of NCNW was very important to her and something she enjoyed immensely. She was passionate about her church, and her community. Pat spent time with the Sandusky-Erie County Community Foundation, and the State Theatre Foundation. She was a longtime volunteer for the Firelands Hospital gift shop, Erie County Board of Elections, and numerous other organizations.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Leroy E. Sizemore, Jr., two daughters, Vicki of Sandusky and Denise of Columbia, S.C.; and two sons, Leroy (Sonya) and Joe (Sondra) both of Sandusky, 16 grandchildren, 13great-grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, four god-children, cousins, two special friends Gladys Blanton of Toledo and Patricia Whitehead of Akron, and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph W.Thomas and mother, Laura Bryant Woods.
Friends may call on Thursday, November 13, 2014, from 1-3 and 6-8 in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. A Celebration of her Life Service will be Friday, November 14, 2014, at 12:00 P.M. Noon in the church. Pastor Clayton E. Howard will officiate. Entombment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
