Orville L. "Arnie" Arnold, 96, of Sandusky died Friday, November 14, 2014 in the Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky following a brief illness.
He was born June 22, 1918 to Priee and Louiese (Lockert) Arnold in Alexander, Arkansas and moved to Akron, Ohio in 1919.
Arnie was a WWII Veteran, serving from January 1941 to November of 1945 in the Pacific Engineer Group. After his military service he went to work for B.F. Goodrich until his retirement. He then moved to Sandusky.
He is survived by his companion and good friend, Helen Steele; nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Arnold in 2003; his son, Orville L. Arnold, Jr. and his parents.
Friends may call Monday, November 17, 2014 from 1:00 PM until time of funeral service at 3:00 PM in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Burial will be in the Copley Township Cemetery, Copley, Ohio.
