Josephine A. Pisarsky, 88, of Sandusky passed away early Monday morning, November 17, 2014 in the Lutheran Memorial Home, Sandusky following a brief illness.
She was born March 30, 1926 in Toledo and had lived in Sandusky for the past 66 years.
Josephine worked at the former Philco Corporation. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Her hobbies included reading, cooking, puzzles and cross word puzzles.
She is survived by three sons, Stephen I. (Mary) Pisarsky, Sandusky, Gerald (Theresa) Pisarsky, Republic and Jeffery (Jewel) Pisarsky, Findlay; four daughters, Alice (James) Greek, Norma (Paul) Homberger, both of Sandusky, Gloria (Jac) Dorobek, Vickery and Sheila (Mike) Fountain, Bowling Green; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Pisarsky in 2010; her parents, Edmond and Catherine (Lampka) Szelaszkiewicz; two sisters, Maria Abbott and Evia Shilling; two brothers, Bernard and Edward Shilling.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 12:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Matt Frisbee will officiate. Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky or the Lutheran Home Activities Fund, 795 Bardshar Road, Sandusky.
