Betty Jean Meyer, age 72, of Castalia, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2014 in the presence of her family.
She was born May 23, 1942, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery; and enjoyed music, playing her piano, cooking, and crocheting. Betty worked for Rockwell Springs Trout Club, Vickery, for over 40 years, and was a substitute teacher for Margaretta Schools.
She is survived by her son Edward R. Hallier; grandson Mark (Anelle) Hallier, granddaughter Jamie Tippie; daughter-in-law Bette (Jim) Tippie; brother William (Jan) Thomas, sister Margaret Allison; several nieces and nephews; many loving friends; and her furry friends Alex, Jeff, Annie, and Miss Kitty.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Hallier.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM Monday, December 1, 2014, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. The Rev. Gerhardt Gosnell will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Port Clinton.
