Roger C. Chase, 75, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.

He was born January 26, 1939 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Gerald E. and Gladys L. (Carry) Chase.

He attended North Fairfield Schools and was a veteran of the United States Army Reserve.
Roger worked at Faulhabers, Clevite and then in 1971 moved to Newaygo, MI, where he was a Chief of Police for many years. In 1994 he returned to Ohio and worked at R & D Equipment. He became a corrections officer with the Huron County Sheriff's Department until his retirement in 2006.

Roger was an avid hunter and fisherman. His greatest joy was a day on Lake Erie catching perch or walleye. He loved gardening and doing his wood crafts. He was also a golfer with the Golden Oldies at Sycamore. He was a Life member of the Sandusky Amvets, a member of the Norwalk Eagles 711 and a former commander of the American Legion Post 41.

He is survived by his wife Barbara A. (Kluding) Chase whom he married on December 2, 1995, Children, Robyn (Kim Trgina) Chase of Grand Rapids, MI, Roger C. (Shelley) Chase II of Newaygo, MI, Russell Chase of Phoenix, AZ, Grandchildren Sean Chase, Joshua (Jordyn) Chase, Tiffany Chase and great granddaughter Aliyah all of Newaygo, MI, Twin brother Ron (Barbara J) Chase of Norwalk, special niece Michelle (Richard) Schaffer, Norwalk, OH and special nephew Randy (Tracy) Chase of Collins, sister Judith I. Jefferies and her spouse Francis W. Witt and niece Jacqueline Jefferies all of Pasadena, CA.

Children Judith (James) Ringer, Willard, OH, Kathleen (Bill) Winkler, Wakeman, OH, and Jeffery (Lisa) Wargo, Marysville, OH, grandchildren Jessica (Doug) Dendinger, RJ (Nichole) Ringer, Scott Winkler, Ben (Brittani) Winkler, Taylor Winkler, Hannah Winkler, Amanda Wargo, Sarah Wargo, Emily Wargo, Rachel Wargo, Mike Ringer, Mandy Wolfrum and great grandchildren Nathan Winkler, Matthew Winkler, Baily Ringer, Reagan, Jaylynn and Cole Wolfrum.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and a sister, Karen Marie in infancy, and niece Beverly (Chase) Hipp.
