Thomas A. Warren, 83, of Sandusky died Monday, December 1, 2014 in the Parkvue Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Sandusky on April 4, 1931and was a 1949 graduate of Sandusky High School.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Sandusky. Tom was a former member of the Golden Crescent Collectors Club, Firelands Post Card Club, Sandusky Orioles Club, Nest 279 and the former IAB Club. He was employed at the former Howard Fisher Company of Sandusky, the former Great Lakes Construction Company of Independence, Ohio and the former Matesic Motor Company of Sandusky and served as a caddie at the Plum Brook Country Club during his teenage years. He worked as a mixologist at Plum Brook Country Club, Stone House, Granny's Supper Club, Baxter's Stone House, IAB and also for private parties. He enjoyed antiquing, going on cruises, children, pets and working in the yard. He assisted many elderly over the years with snow removal and bringing them their papers. In 1951 Tom was the golf champion at Plum Brook County Club.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gladys (Hudson) Warren; favorite cousin, Edna Stierhoff, Milan; favorite nephew, Charles (Cecelia) Warren, Milan, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy; parents, Alva and Etta (Stierhoff) Warren; three brothers, Kenny, Alvin and Robert Warren; and one sister, Caroline Brown.
Burial of the cremains will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 4, 2014 in the Oakland Cemetery, 2917 Milan Road, Sandusky with Pastor Douglas Winner officiating. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 214 E. Jefferson Street, Sandusky.
