Anna Mae "Annie" Obermiller, 80, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away early Monday morning, December 8, 2014 in Gaymont Nursing Center.

She was born September 29, 1934 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Frank J. and Agnes M. (Weis) Doughty and was a lifelong area resident.

Annie was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a former employee of the J.C. Penny Company, Norwalk, Ohio, and was the co-owner of Obie's Tavern in Olena with her husband, Charles for 42 years. Annie was a member of the Firelands Post #2743 Auxiliary, and the Olena Community Club. She was a secretary of the Fisher-Titus Auxiliary for 15 years. Annie enjoyed bowling and especially enjoyed raising her family and being a loving wife, mother, grandmother. The Obermiller family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the staff of Gaymont Nursing Center, and the staff of Stein Hospice Service, for their compassion and care.

Annie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles E. Obermiller of Norwalk, Ohio, by her children, Sue M. (Ott) (Walter D.) Marcum of Monroeville, Ohio, Sandy (Ott) (Greg) Spencer of Columbus, Ohio, Patty (Ott) (Brad) James of Toledo, Ohio, Robert A. (Leslie) Obermiller of Newbury, Ohio, Steven Obermiller (Marcia Sommerfield) of New London, Ohio, Gary J. (Tracey) Obermiller of New London, Ohio, and Dan (Jeanette) Obermiller of Garner, North Carolina. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jesse Murr, Matthew Marcum, Lisa Marcum, Joseph James, Stephen James, Allen Obermiller, Eric Spencer, Bryan Spencer, Angela Obermiller, Cody Obermiller, Clayton Obermiller, Jacob Obermiller, Katie Obermiller, and Loren Obermiller, by her brother, Richard Doughty of Norwalk, Ohio, and by her sister, Margaret McDonald of Norwalk, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph J. Ott in 1959, and by her brother, Charles Doughty.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Msgr. Kenneth Morman will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
