Rev. Donald K. Nutter, Sr., 85, of Norwalk, Ohio, went to be with the Lord in his heavenly home early Monday morning, December 8, 2014 in his home.

He was born June 17, 1929 in Elk Ridge, West Virginia to the late Leonard O. and Rose B. (Stevens) Nutter and came to this area in 1953 from Elk Ridge, West Virginia.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Medical Corps during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953. Don was a member of the Truth Baptist Church, Tiffin, Ohio. He had been doing mission work since 1991 and had worked with Amazing Grace Mission. He retired in 1986 as an Engineer for the Norfolk Southern (Nickel Plate) Railroad, and was the former owner of Kerry's Hubcaps of Norwalk, Ohio. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, current events, studying his bible, and going to flea markets.

Don is survived by his wife of 26 years, Barbara (Boose) (Missler)Nutter of Norwalk, Ohio, whom he married January 15, 1988, by his son, Donald K. "Kerry" (Judy) Nutter Jr., of Shelby, Ohio, and by his daughter, Kimberly Opperman of Shelby, Ohio, by his step son, Anthony R. (Sherry) Missler of Norwalk, Ohio, and by his step-daughters, Regina A. (Richard) Eakes of Sandusky, Ohio, and Jeanne B. (James) Martin of Tiffin, Ohio, 18 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy (Delbert) Cordle of Oak Hill, West Virginia, and Carol (Charles) Adams of Leesburg, Florida, and by his Aunt, Pet Spearen of Fayetteville, West Virginia, and several nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty in 1950, and by his second wife, Pearly in 1984, by his daughters, Donna Lou Nutter in 1950, and Dawn Robyn Nutter in 2007, by his brother, Kenneth Nutter in 1989, and by his sister, Juanita Jarvis in 1999, and 3 infant siblings.

Friends may call on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 4: 00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
