Raymond F. Weber Jr., age 71, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born June 5, 1943 in Bellevue and was a 1962 graduate of Bellevue High School.
He served in the US Navy from 1962 until 1966 and served in Da Nang, Vietnam from September 1965 until September 1966. He was a Reservist until 1968. He worked for 12 years as a Vending Machine serviceman, and worked for 30 years at Armstrong Air Conditioning, Bellevue, retiring in 2006. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Perseverance Lodge No 329 F&AM, Singara Grotto, and the American Legion Post 83, all in Sandusky. He enjoyed fishing, his pets and all animals, woodworking and working with his hands; including gardening and cookouts with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joan (Ransom) Weber, whom he married on June 13, 1964 in San Francisco, while serving in the US Navy; children, Gina (Rick) Younce of Sandusky and Ronald F. Weber of Huron; grandchildren, Kristen (Adam) Teschler of Berea and Matthew Weber, attending the University of Cincinnati; a sister, nieces, nephews, cousins and a special family friends, Susan (and the late Jim) Crum.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond F. Weber Sr. and Barbara (Beck) Weber; and a sister, Betty Sayler.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Pfeil Funeral Home, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Also, Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2211 Mills Street, Sandusky with the Rev. Tim Nilsen officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
