Virginia Eleanor (Zorn). Keefer, age 93, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born November 25, 1921 in Sandusky to the late Walter and Gertrude (Beatty) Zorn and baptized April 16, 1922 at St. John Lutheran Church at Union Corners, OH.
She was a 1939 graduate of Sandusky High School and a 1940 graduate of Warner Beauty College. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, sang in the choir for many years and a member of the Women of the Church. She worked at the former Fanny Farmers for 19 years, volunteered at the Carriage House for 7 years and a volunteer at Fisher-Titus Medical Center for more than 16 years.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Ted) Ellis of Lexington, OH, Dennis (Vicki) Keefer of Crawfordsville, IN and Gary (Marsha) Keefer of Pooler, GA; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Linda Keefer of Norwalk
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lisle E. Keefer in 1998; and son, Greg Keefer in 2009; sister, Ruth (Ray) Russell; brothers, Robert (Ruth) Zorn and Paul (Florence) Zorn; great-grandchild, Alexandra Marie Ellis.
Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 243 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk. The Rev. Ann Marshall, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
