Howard L. Prine, 85, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Howard was born on December 16, 1929 in Sandusky, OH to the late Fred and Dorothy (Riggs) Prine.
Howard was a Veteran of the Army who proudly served his country from 1947 to 1948 as clerk typist. He was a former employer of Ohio Bell before retiring after 35 years of service. Howard was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
Howard is survived by his niece, Cynthia (Ray) Bland; nephews, Richard (Flower) and Gary Prine and his friends Donald "Toby" and Anna Johnson.
In addition to his parents, Howard is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Prine; 2 nieces and a nephew.
There will be no visitation or services. Inurnment will take place in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky, OH. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.
