James E. Knott, age 54, of Clarksfield, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born December 2, 1960 in Norwalk.
He attended New London High School and worked many years at Norwalk Furniture. He was a custodian at Milan-Berlin Libraries and enjoyed traveling to the Amish Country and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid bubblegum and lighthouse collector.
He is survived by his father, Edwin Knott Sr. of Wakeman; brothers, Edwin (Linda) Knott Jr. of NJ, Robert and Raymond Knott of Toledo, Kevin (Edith) Knott of Olena; sisters, Debbi (Larry) Bassler of Paulding, Tina Gibson of Norwalk, Valorie (Bud) Seville of New London and Rosel (James) Patterson of Millersburg;
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marian Knott in 2014; sister, Kathy Knott in 1957; and a niece, Hope Gibson in infancy.
A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, January 5, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be held at Clarksfield Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home in care of the family.
