Marvel J. (Jamison) Dennison, 77, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Tuesday evening, January 6, 2015 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Marvel was born on April 14, 1937 in Sandusky, OH to the late Arthur J. and Delores P. (Winters) Jamison.
Marvel was employed at the Dollar Tree as a sales clerk, the Chesapeake Factory and most recently a laundry assistant at the Best Western for Danny Lee. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed singing, dancing, playing the organ, going to the clubs and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids, and her dog, Maverick.
Marvel is survived by her daughters, Debra Grooms, Tammy Thomas and Marvel (Bob) Hutchinson all of Sandusky; sons, Arthur Killian of Sandusky and Charles (Kim) McNair Jr. of Whiteslanding; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Marshall and Darlene Lynch both of Sandusky; brother, John Walters; special friend, Linda "Killer" Eckart and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Marvel is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Dennison in 1982; her daughter, Charlene McNair in 1985 and her son, Daniel Killian Jr and brothers, Harold and Donald Walters.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Stein Hospice Care Center for the exceptional care that was given to their mother.
Friends may call on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Mel Sayler presiding. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
