Margrette "Peg" Ann (Pusateri) Blanton, 77, residing in Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning, January 9, 2015 at her residence.
Peg was born on February 14, 1937 in Sandusky, OH to the late Thomas Anthony and Frances Ernestine (Hamburger) Pusateri.
Peg was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed making many memories and spending quality time with her family. Peg loved to travel, especially to her "home away from home" cottage in Marblehead.
She was employed at Lucal & McGookey as an office manager for many years before becoming a realtor. After spending more than 50 years as a realtor, Peg achieved one of her greatest accomplishments, being inducted into the Realtors Hall of Fame. She had been past president of the Firelands Association of Realtors. In her free time she enjoyed being an American Legion member and former IAB Ladies Auxiliary member. Peg was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she was a prayer team member.
Peg is survived by her loving husband, Carl "Doug" Blanton; children, Scott (Penney) Blanton, Sherry (Keith) Porter and Steven (Patti Howell) Blanton; grandchildren, Jeff (Kristin) Blanton, Kelli (Aaron) Link, Holly, T.J. and Derrick Blanton, Katie and Kyle Porter, Shawn Ryan, Ashley Beddow, Matt (Lisa) Turner and Jaret Steele; great-grandchildren, Macy, Cade, Chace, Graden, Stone and Baela; brother, Thomas (Trudy) Pusateri Jr; nieces and nephews, Tammy (Steve) Puckrin and Todd (Judy) Pusateri and numerous other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Peg is preceded in death by her son, Gerald Thomas Blanton and her mother-in-law, Viola Gingo.
Friends may call on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
