Alberta L. Edwards, 87, of Sandusky, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, January 21, 2015 in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born on January 19, 1928 in Cleveland to the late Frank and Elsie (Natemyer) Bernasek.
Alberta worked for Scott Paper Co., Miller's Drug Store, and The Medicine Shoppe. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and loved fishing, gardening, the Cleveland Indians, and spending time with her family.
Alberta is survived by her son, Donald (Linda) Edwards, of Norwalk; daughter, Debby (Mike) Zorn, of Sandusky; grandchildren, Jonelle Cole, Michael (Nicole) Zorn, of Seattle, Wash., Kristen (Brad) Grochowski, of Orlando, Fla., Nathan (Wendy) Moore, Ryan (Nina) Moore, and Amber (Gary) Barnthouse; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and dog, Puggles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Donald; sisters, Betty, Florence, and Elsie; and brothers, Frank and Edward.
Friends may call on Monday, January 26, 2015 from Noon until time of memorial services at 1 P.M. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. David Flack will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
