Almerico "Rico" Censi, age 84, of Bellevue passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at The University of Toledo Medical Center.
He was born August 1, 1930 in Bellevue the son of David and Maria (Seganfreddo) Censi.
Rico worked as a heavy equipment operator at Scagnetti Construction and also for the City of Bellevue Water Department. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Eagles Aerie 490, the former Club Amer-ITAL and IAB Club, American Legion Post 46, Bellevue Redmen Boosters, Bellevue Society for the Arts, and the Knights of Columbus. He loved to golf and fish and spend his mornings at McDonald's with his coffee clatch and various others.
He is survived by his wife, Nila (Diehr), whom he married May 17, 1958 in Fremont, Ohio; One son, Mark (Sherry) Censi of Lexington, NC; a daughter, Kim Censi, of Bellevue; a grandson, Nate Censi; niece, Janet Scagnetti of Bellevue; and nephew, Dave (Wendy) Scagnetti of Bellevue. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Alda Scagnetti.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral Mass officiated by Rev. Jonathan Wight will begin on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue.
