William "Bill" Fredrick Newman, age 62, of Norwalk, was lifted by family and friends into the arms of Jesus to be home forever on Monday, January 26, 2015.
He was born November 10, 1952 in Sandusky.
He attended Sts. Peter and Paul Elementary and was a 1970 graduate of Sandusky High School. He attended Firelands College, and was a pipe fitter from 1978 until 2012. He was a Deacon and founding member of the Bellevue Alliance Church, and attended the Norwalk and Willard Alliance Church. He was an active member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local Union 42 and was an instructor for apprentices. He enjoyed art work, built two homes, camping and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ann F. (Gilkerson) Newman of Norwalk; daughter, McKenzie (Mike) Wobser of Wakeman; granddaughter, Gracyn Neuburger of Wakeman; mother, Margaret Newman of Sandusky; siblings, Janice (David) Hirt of Danbury Twp., Daniel (Julie) Newman of Findlay and Robert (Kelly) Newman of Edwardsburg, MI; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William F. Newman in 1972.
Friends may call on Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:30 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. The Rev. Fred Wiechers will officiate. Private interment will be at a later date.
