Cynthia L. Sandles, 73, Sandusky, died Sunday, April 3, 2011, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on May 21, 1937, in Sandusky. She was a homemaker and loved fishing, camping and playing cards. Cynthia is survived by her husband of 33 years, Leslie Sandles; daughters, Penny (Robert) Kinn, Perkins Twp., OH, and Laurie Pocock, Sandusky; son, James (Kathy) Pocock, Monroeville; grandchildren, Brian (Sarah) Kinn, Jason (Candi) Kinn, and Kelley (Mike) Neill, Nick Schwerer, Adam Pocock, Kristen Pocock, and Stacey Pocock; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Pearl Hough; brothers, Willard Gilbert and Wendell Gilbert.
There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870, or to Cancer Services of Erie County, 505 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870.
