William H. Lawton, 72, Huron, died Sunday, April 3, 2011, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
He was born on July 27, 1938 in Jackson, GA. He retired from Ford Motor Co., in 2000, after 35 years of service.He was a 30 year member of the Sandusky Eagles #444, and belonged to the Union Local #1216. William is survived by his wife, Kay (Eggleston) Lawton; son, Robert (Margo) Lawton; daughter, Tammy (Robert) Willbond; step-daughter, Kelli (Mike) Sidoti-Allison, all of Sandusky; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Lawton; grandchildren, Mallory Williams, Kayla Mitchell, Kayla Willbond, Justin Lawton, Robert Lawton, Keith Mitchell; step-grandchildren, Jordin Sidoti, Olivia Sidoti, and Rylee Allison; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Wright, Carissa Wright, Jacob Lawton, Keilyn Mitchell, and Xavier Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ola Mae (Maddox) Lawton; son, Van Lawton; grandson, Jacob Lawton; step-son, Scott Sidoti; sisters, Becky Watkins, Mary Batesole, and Rachel Corley; brothers, James Lawton, John Lawton, Bruce Lawton, Nathan Lawton, and Arthur Lawton.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 2-8 PM in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in Venice Road Baptist Church, 3814 Venice Rd., Sandusky, with Rev. B.R. Hatfield officiating.
