Rosalie M. Hipp, 79, of Huron and formerly of Sandusky died Saturday evening, January 31, 2015 in the Providence Care Center, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 16, 1935 in Port Clinton, Ohio and was a 1953 graduate of Port Clinton High School. She was employed at the former Flippens Jr. Boot Shop and the former Russell Flower Shoppe both of Sandusky. Rosalie's hobbies included playing bridge, reading, knitting and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donald E. Hipp; four children, Mark (Carmen) Hipp of South Lyon, Michigan, Suzanne Otero of North Olmstead, Ohio, Gary (Carolyn) Hipp of Wixom, Michigan and LeAnne (Tom) George of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren, Lauren, Sarah, Michael, Alexander, Kellen, Kyle, Zachary, Hannah and Emma; four brothers, two sisters, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Lorine (Sonnichsen) Hofacker and one sister.
Friends may call Friday, February 6, 2015 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. The Rev. Dr. David Clarke, D.Min., Chaplain of Stein Hospice will officiate. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
