Nannie L. Jobe, 59, of Sandusky, passed away from her Earthly home and entered her Heavenly home on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Providence Care Center after a long illness.
She was born on April 22, 1955 in Weir, Miss., and moved to Sandusky at an early age.
She was employed by LaSalle's Dept. Store, Flippens Jr. Boot Shop, and Eastern News Distributors. She enjoyed singing, reading, crafting, sewing, roller-skating, and puzzles.
Nannie was a faithful member of East Parish Street Church of Christ, where she taught bible classes for many years after receiving a certificate of completion from a bible study program. She also sang in groups, over the years, and enjoyed going to other congregations to sing and fellowship.
She attended Lorain Business College, where she received an Associate's Degree in Executive Secretarial Studies, an Associate's Degree in Business, and a diploma in Junior Accounting. While at college, she received the Outstanding Student Award, was listed in the "Who's Who" for private colleges, and received an award from the Outstanding Women of America.
Nannie leaves to celebrate her life her son, John (Dannielle) Jobe; granddaughter, Marshena Johnson; sister, Annie (Claude, Jr.) Aaron; brother, Frank Jobe; father, Elmo Wilson, Jr.; nieces, Taushawn Aaron, Tracy Aaron, Tonya Aaron; nephews, Alex (Charlotte) King, Anthony King; honorary sister, Jerline Muskgrove; and many great-nieces and -nephews; aunts, uncles; cousins; and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lovie Wilson, in 2010.
Per Nannie's request, there will be no viewing. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 1 P.M. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
