Karl "Mike" Stierhoff Jr., 84, Sandusky, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in the Parkvue Health Care Center. He was born on March 25, 1927 in Sandusky.
Mike worked on the family farm, and was the owner and operator of the former Phillips 66 gas station in Sandusky, drove truck for Raymond Brunow, and also drove wrecker for Plazzo-Sidoti. He was a volunteer at the Ohio Veterans Home, and was a 20 year member of the Vacationland Sams RV Club.
He is survived by daughters, Donna (Steve) Stark, Lincoln Park, MI, and Sally (Wayne) Chunat, Malvern, OH; sons, Karl (Sandy) Stierhoff, Huron and Mark (Barb) Stierhoff, Castalia; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene (Donald) Symonds, Sandusky; brother, Keith Stierhoff, Sandusky, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne (Coonrad) Stierhoff, on October 19, 2010; parents, Karl and Ernestine (Harter) Stierhoff, Sr.; and brothers, Dwight Stierhoff and Wade Stierhoff.
Friends may call on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 4 - 7 PM in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Private family burial services will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
