Gladys Davis, 81, of Castalia passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at her home.
She was born May 22, 1932 in Pinetop, Kentucky the daughter of Richard and Ora Short.
She married Tony Davis on November 25, 1967 in Willard, Ohio; He preceded her in death on February 2, 2015.
Gladys worked as an inspector at Van Dresser in Norwalk until her retirement in 1992.
She is survived by one son, Darrell (Francis) Lester of South Carolina; three daughters, Pearley (Elbert) Honaker of Bellevue, Brenda Evert of Sandusky and Adeline (Charles) Keefe of Castalia; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Joe (Sara) Short of Naples, FL, Frank (Rose) Short of Norwalk, OH; sisters, Opal Lester of Bartley, WV, Shirley (Virgil) Roberts of Ashboro, NC, and Edna Slone of Greenwich, OH.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gladys is preceded in death by her daughter, Rachel Wiswell; two grandchildren, Crystal Wiswell and Brenda Schulden; and three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Kiesel, Tyler Colvin, and Kylie; brothers, Mart, Paul, Roland, Dot, Corb and Willie Short; sisters, Margie West, Phillis Short, Ethel Murphy, Dicie Barnett;
Friends will be received on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 10 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 11:30 a.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH 44811. Burial will follow at Sandhill Cemetery.
