Stephen L. Pawson, 68, of Sandusky, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 in his home after a two year long battle with cancer.
He was born on January 24, 1947 in Tecumseh Village, Mich., and was the only child of Lawrence and Janet (Atkinson) Pawson.
Steve was a 1965 graduate of Onsted High School in Michigan, and earned an Associate's Degree in Business from Jackson Community College. He worked his way up to Vice President of Sales for Aunt Millie bakeries, retiring this year after 39 years of service.
He enjoyed watching Michigan sports teams, playing cards (especially Black Jack), golf, and bowling. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and eating strawberry shortcake!
Steve is survived by his wife, Dana Lee (Harris) Pawson; children, Kelly (Bill) Hlavin, of Sandusky, Julia Harrison, of Alexandria, VA, Todd (Shelli) Pawson, of Midlothian, VA, Leslie (Nathan) Harlan, of Sandusky, and Amy (Michael) Mills, of Kittanning, Penn; and 13 grandchildren, Jessica (matt), Jennifer, Lindsay, Parker, Peyton, Nolan, Mason, Jacob, Addison, Christabel, Stephen, Warwick, and Olivia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark.
Friends may call from 11:30 A.M. on Friday, March 6, 2015 until time of memorial services at 12 (Noon) at St. John's Lutheran Church, 106 Scheid Rd., Sandusky. Stephen's son-in-law, Rev. Bill Hlavin will officiate. A luncheon will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
