Gladys M. Warren, 87, of Sandusky died Thursday evening, February 26, 2015 in the Stein Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Sandusky on April 24, 1927 and was a 1945 graduate of Sandusky High School.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Sandusky, the Sandusky Strollers II Red Hat Society, the Golden Crescent Collections Club, Alpha Phi Masters Sorority (a member since 1953), the Ohio Bell Retirees, Sandusky Needle Crafters, and supported Back To The Wild, Humane Society of Erie County, and the World Wildlife Federation. Gladys retired from the Ohio Bell Company after many years.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including a favorite niece, Lori Wilson of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Warren in 2014; step daughter, Tracy Reed in 2009; her parents, George C. & Edith Ann (Schemenauer) Hudson; her sisters, Laura Heim, Kathryn Welschenbach and Marian Wilson.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 214 E. Jefferson Street, Sandusky. The Rev. Douglas Winner will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
