Judith A. Guseman, 72, Sandusky, died on Thursday, April 7, 2011, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born on January 25, 1939 in Sandusky, and was a 1957 graduate of Sandusky High School. She was employed by Hills Department Store, retiring in 1991. Judy was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, V.F.W. Post 2529 Auxiliary, Amvets Post 17 Auxiliary, and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert D. Guseman; father, Carl Gruber, Pompano Beach, FL; children, Carol Becker, St. Mary's, OH, David (Dianna) Guseman, Southport, NC, John (Kelly) Guseman, Milan, OH, and Patrick (Tobi) Guseman, Sandusky; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Gail Brock, TN; aunt, Mary Corso, Sandusky; special companion, Max the dog; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Corso) Gruber; uncles, Joseph Corso, Henry Corso, August "Stiny" Corso, Elmer Gruber, Philip Gruber, Fred Gruber, and George Gruber; and aunt, Agnes Gruber.
There will be no visitation. A private family service will be held in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Marty Nassr will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870, or to Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers, P.O. Box 304, Maryknoll, NY 10545-0304.
