Margaret Rose Parker, age 91, of Castalia, died peacefully Sunday evening, March 1, 2015, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born May 6, 1923, in Sandusky, the daughter of Nicholas and Maria Pullano.
She married Lee Parker, February 29, 1948. Margaret worked many jobs throughout her lifetime including Philco, Sandusky and Lake Front News, Port Clinton but her greatest joy in life was Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She always had an open door and a place at her table for anyone who came to her door. In earlier years she enjoyed traveling and going to Cedar Point with family and friends. Her family will treasure these memories. She was a lifelong member of The Last Wednesday of Month Card Club. Margaret was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia.
She is survived by her son Jerry (Nancy) Parker; daughter Suzy (Terry) Kromer; daughter in-law Becky (Tom) Parker; 8Grandchildren: Matthew (Cheryl) Parker, Michael (Kristy) Parker, Jeffrey Parker, Samantha (Dave) Plavecski, Olivia Kromer, Albert Kromer, Theresa Kromer and Monica Pisano-Seitz; 6 Great-Grandchildren: Cole Parker, Kaylee Parker, Nolan Parker, Emmett Parker, Justin Seitz and Jacob Seitz; and many more nieces and nepehews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Lee W. Parker; son Thomas L. Parker; 2 grandsons Jamie and Bradley Parker; three sisters: Frances Deyo, Ann Rugg and Helen Fantozzi and 2 brothers: Wilson and Pete Pullano.
Friends may call from 10 AM until time of services at 12 Noon, Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington St., Castalia. Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery. Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
