Clinton Campbell, Jr., 64, of Norwalk, Ohio, went quietly into eternity, Sunday, March 1, 2015, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, Ohio.
He was born February 2, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio. Clinton was educated in the Cleveland Public School District where he graduated from John Fitzgerald High School in 1970.
He joined the United States Army in 1971, and completed his AIT training as a heavy weapons specialist. Clinton also trained as a paratrooper, completed jump school, and was a member of the famous 82nd Airborne Division. He served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1974. Clinton was employed with Whirlpool in Clyde, Ohio. He was an avid sports fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Clinton enjoyed listening to Jazz music.
He leaves to mourn, his wife, Leslie (Harper) Campbell, his mother, Idoyer (Martin) Campbell, his sister, Tonya Campbell, his daughter, Nicole Campbell, and his son, Clinton B. (Ashley) Campbell. Clinton also leaves his step sons, Phillip M. (Amber) Daniels, and Anthony (Lauren) Daniels, and his grandchildren, Tajae Campbell, Clinton N. Campbell, Hayla Campbell, Kyngston Campbell, Kaden Daniels, Nyah Daniels, Alexys Daniels, and Kam'ron Daniels, and 3 grandchildren soon to be born.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Campbell, Sr., and by his brother, Harold Campbell.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Norwalk First United Methodist Church, 60 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Brian Oglesbee will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
