Mary B. Schmidt, 93, Sandusky, died on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in Parkvue Healthcare Center, Sandusky.
She was born on July 1, 1921 in Seneca Co., Ohio to Glenn and Marcie (Fox) Williams, Sr.
She was employed by Carol Crane and was a volunteer for the Red Cross as a nurse's aide.
Mary was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, and collecting Indian jewelry.
Mary is survived by her sons, Robert (Deborah) Schmidt, Tiffin, OH, and James (Marlene Bryant) Schmidt, Sandusky, OH; grandchildren, John (Katie) Schmidt, Jacob Schmidt, Danielle Schmidt, and Heather Hess; great-grandchildren, Ethan Jazlyn, Kenzie, Madison, Gabriella, Brentley, and soon-to-arrive, Kaden; sisters, Bertha Correll, Tiffin, Norma Flechtner, Tiffin, and Geraldine Malone, Sandusky; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Schmidt, in 2010; her parents; brothers, Hugh Williams, Lehman Williams, and Glenn Williams, Jr; stepbrother, Hubert Williams; and sisters, Grace Spino, Dorothy Williams, and Joyce Solwell.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 12:30 P.M. until time of memorial service at 1 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Bill Michaels will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
