Nicholas C. Denslow

Nicholas C. Denslow, age 71, of Castalia, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, in his residence, following a lengthy illness.

He was born January 30, 1944, in Lorain, and graduated from Perkins High School in 1963.

Nick was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky, where he was actively involved; and retired from Ford Motor Co. in 2004, after 40 years. He enjoyed golfing at Sleepy Hollow, bowling at Star Lanes, ,watching the Cleveland Indians and Cavs, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Schoewe) Denslow, with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 25, 2014,; two daughters Cheryl West, Castalia, and Julie Denslow, Sandusky; one grandson Logan West; brothers Tim (Judy) Schoewe, Bob (Margaret) Schoewe, Doug Schoewe, and Dan (Betsy) Schoewe; sister Sandy (John #2) Like; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents Clair "Tony" and Virginia (Dee) Denslow and Don and Virginia Schoewe; and many aunts, uncles, and a cousin.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. A private family service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2015, at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
