June V. (Bissell) Fox, 89, of Lakeside-Marblehead, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton following a brief illness.
She was born March 23, 1925 in Sandusky to the late Cloyd "Abe" and Inez (Mears) Bissell.
She was a 1942 graduate of Sandusky High School and married her late husband Clayton on November 26, 1960. June was active in the Calvary Episcopal Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a sign painter and worked at Penny's as a window decorator. She was also a local soloist.
She is survived by her daughter, Rene (John) Veverka of Lakeside-Marblehead and son, Shawn (Chad Forney) Fox of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton E. Fox in 2008 and her parents.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 27, 2015 at 1:00 PM until time of memorial service at 2:00 P.M. at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Chaplain David Clarke of Stein Hospice will officiate. Private interment will be held at a later date at Oakland Cemetery.
