Charles S. Brenner Sr., age 69, of Castalia, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at his residence.
He was born January 21,1946, in Bellevue, and graduated from Sandusky St. Mary's Central Catholic in 1964.
He was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky, and worked 43 years at J.H. Routh Packing, Sandusky, retiring in 2008. Charles was a life-long farmer and loved to be on his Farmall BN tractor. He was a devoted family man and loved to spend time with his family, watch his grandchildren play sports, and he was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
He is survived by his wife Peggy (Good) Brenner; daughter Jody (Jared) Young, Vickery; two sons Charles (Angela) Brenner Jr., New Boston, MI. and Barry (Lynn) Brenner, Castalia; nine grandchildren Samantha, Adam, and Cody Brenner, Lily Green, Blake Brenner, and Emerson, Elias, Easton, and Ellianna Young; sister Jean (Thomas) Lander,Castalia; and many nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Sylvester and Clarabelle (Keegan) Brenner.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S.Washington St., Castalia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Monday, March 30, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky, with Fr. Joe Steinbauer officiating. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
