Barbara Lee (Costello) Werner, 85, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Sunday evening, April 19, 2015 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Barbara was born on April 16, 1930 in Barnesville, OH to the late Raymond and Mary (Willis) Costello.
Barbara was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, playing shuffleboard, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Gerald and Michael (Deedra) Werner; daughter, Judith (Dennis) McKillips; 8 grandchildren, Kelly (Tony), Cheryl (Jeff), Holly (Steve), Jody, Travis (Meghan), Nicholas (Becky), Jason and Beau; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Carl W. Werner; brother, John Costello and sister, Patricia Davis.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Friends may also visit, Thursday, April 23 at 9:00 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky with Father Matt Frisbee presiding. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
