Eugene Joseph Brogle, Sr., 86, Sandusky, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, in Providence Care Center, Sandusky.
He was born on June 15, 1924 in Sandusky. He was employed by Ford Motor Co. in Sandusky for 25 years, retiring in 1985. Eugene was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Sandusky.
He is survived by daughters, Linda (Leonard) Nye, Berlin Heights, and Marsha (Ron) Stookey, Sandusky; son, Bruce Brogle, Norwalk; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Christina (Brecht) Brogle; son, Eugene J. Brogle Jr.; sisters, Louise Brogle, Mary Herber, Frieda Feuerstein, Rose Brogle, and Alma Geason; brothers, John Brogle, Alfred Brogle, and Joseph Brogle; and a nephew, John Brogle.
Friends may call on Friday, April 15, 2011, from 6-8 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Prayer services will be held Saturday at 9:30 A.M. in the funeral home, followed by a 10 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Marty Nassr will officiate. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
