Dennis Roy Scriver, 68, Clyde passed away peacefully Monday, April 20, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family and hospice.

He was born June 27, 1947 in Norwalk, Ohio to Roy Leon Scriver and Ruth Coy.

He worked at Parkertown Stone Quarry, Sandusky Metal Products and was retired from the Ford Plant, Sandusky after 30 years.

Dennis was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time woodworking making furniture as well as hunting and fishing.

Dennis will be sadly missed by all who loved him and his relentless sense of humor. He dearly loved his wife of 47 years, Donna (Long); children Roy Leon (Sharon) Scriver, Arizona; Charles Edward (Kelley) Scriver, Clyde; Julie Scriver, Kentucky and daughter-in-law Nika Baker, Bellevue; 10 grandchildren who were his pride and joy--David Allen (Ashley) Scriver, Bellevue; Katie Jo Scriver, Bellevue; Alicia Harvey, Clyde; Donald Scriver, Clyde; Kalayn Baily, Arizona; Mirranda Harvey, Kentucky, Shelby Harvey, Kentucky, Makala Scriver, Clyde; Elizabeth Lately, Bellevue; 4 great-grandchildren; mother, Ruth Coy, North Fairfield; sisters Linda (Marvin) Lewis, Bellevue; Katrina (Marvin) Shepherd, Monroeville; brothers Russell (Pat) Scriver, North Fairfield; David (Joanne) Sandusky, Kevin Coy, Plymouth; brother-in-laws Gary (Cathy) Long, Vickery; Michael (Marilyn) Long, Castalia; sister-in-laws Kathy Long, Vickery, Jeannine Long, Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Leon Scriver; son, Dennis Allen "Little Denny" Scriver; mother-in-law Mary Long; and sister, Brenda Stuckey.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Parkhurst Cemetery.
