Pauline Lucille Hamer, age 93, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday evening, April 22, 2015 at Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born December 19, 1921 in Castalia to the late Ray C. and Esther (White) Meyer.
She was a graduate of York High School and lived in the Norwalk Area most of her life. She worked at Fisher-Titus Medical Center for years in the kitchen and was a member of the Firelands Historical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, First Presbyterian Church and West Hartland United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Martha A. Huffman of Greenwich, Robert Hamer Jr. of Norwalk, Gerald Hamer of Garden City, MI and Paul Hamer of Midland, MI; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Boucher of Green Springs and Carol Simmons of Toledo; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hamer Sr; son, Kenneth Hamer; siblings, Dolores Fatsinger, Helen Woessner, Evelyn Lenhart, Beulah Gilbert, Ruth Parsons and Cletus Meyer.
Private services were held at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk and burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.
