Doris Ann (White) Schaffer, wife of John, passed away Saturday morning, April 25, 2015 at Gaymont Nursing Home, surrounded by family. Doris was a loving homemaker who gave generously to her family, friends, and church. Her life was full of creativity, always making a house a home, and she is now released from ten long years with Alzheimer's disease.
She is now singing God's praises with the angels with those who preceded her in death, her mother and father, Raymond and Marguerite White, her brother, Terry White, daughter, Angela (Schlotterer),and grandson, Sweet Baby Jude Linder.
In addition to her husband of 60 years, John, she is survived by her daughters, Sister Carolyn Marie, Lynnette (Eric Baldwin, Michelle (Roger Jones), Brenda (Carl Geyer). Sons, Mark, (Diane Cutnaw), Donald, Dennis, Randy (Sarah Burchard), Scott (Cheryl Phillips), Jody (Faith Davis), and Mathew, 26 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother, Douglas White, and by her sister-in-law, Shirley (Terry) White.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Settlement Rd., Peru Twp., Ohio.
