Helen L. (Diehm) Didion, 94, of Monroeville passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at her daughter's home in Columbia, South Carolina.
Helen was born April 19, 1921 in Willard, Ohio and had lived in Monroeville with her husband Gene where they raised their four children.
Helen was a lifelong member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was an outgoing member of the community, offering her assistance to family, neighbors and friends in need. Helen loved to garden, enjoyed crafts, playing cards, music and her favorite sports teams.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Susan (Tim) Webb of Columbia, South Carolina, Ken (Sharon) Didion of Westlake, Ohio and Ron (Kathy) Didion of Dover, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Jenny, Jeremy, Craig, Keelie, Cory, Heather and Todd and four great grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Eugene; one son, Dennis and her parents Linus and Tillie (Miller) Diehm.
The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 PM Friday, May 1, 2015 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Fr. William Pifher will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville. A luncheon will follow.
