Willie "Frank" Pearson, 85, of Sandusky, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Frank was born on February 27, 1930 in Clanton, Alabama. He was the second to the youngest child of Jink and Amie (Mims) Pearson.
A resident of Sandusky, Ohio since 1952, which is where he united with his wife of 60 years, Ossie (Smith) Pearson. He was employed and retired as a millwright from Aluminum Magnesium-Vulcan Materials, and General Motors. He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, and a member of the male gospel group, The Golden Echoes.
Frank had a passion for cooking, fishing, hunting and a true fan of Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers. He was especially known for his love of fishing in particular; fishing nearly every day, when he could.
He is survived by his wife, Ossie; children, Osmond Leroy (Pamela) Pearson, Kalamazoo, MI, Anthony Jerome Pearson, Paulette (Harold) Roane, and Philip Tyrone (Triianne) Pearson, all of Sandusky, and Patrick Alan (Andrya),Vernon Hills, IL; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; (Special and close to his heart great-granddaughter, Rihlee Jones); and a sister, Geneva "GiGi" Pasley, Millbrook, Al.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alma Holbrook, Geraldine Wilson, Winnie Woods, Eliza Henry, Creasie Spearman and Velma Sails; and brothers, Jesse Pearson Sr. and Julius Pearson.
Friends may call on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce Street, Sandusky. Rev. Clayton E. Howard will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
