(Ilo) June Shears Clark, 93, of Sandusky, Ohio passed away, on Sunday May 3 rd 2015 while residing at The Willows of Bellevue.
June was born January 13 th, 1922 in Marietta Ohio.
She graduated from Marietta High School and attended business school in Marietta. She came to Sandusky in January 1942 and was employed by the Trojan Powder Company where TNT was manufactured for the war effort. At the end of World War II she was employed by Hinde & Dauch Paper Company where she met Richard Clark and they were married in 1946. From 1963 - 1987 she was employed by the Law Firm of Flynn, Py and Kruse performing secretarial and bookkeeping duties. June attended The Chapel of Sandusky Ohio and was a long standing member of the Sandusky Yacht Club. She was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting for her family, playing games and reading on her tablet.
She is survived by her son Douglas O. Clark of Sandusky Ohio and her son Lee A. (Nancy) Clark of Bellevue Ohio and three grandchildren Jennifer Leigh (Lee) Horvath of Powell Ohio, Bradly Edward (Natalie) Clark of Cincinnati Ohio, Melissa Marie (Gabe) Heileman of New London Ohio and 6 Great Grandchildren Sydney June Horvath, Madeline Grace Horvath, Bella Rose Clark, Grant Lee Heileman, Grady Charles Heileman and Avery Marie Heileman.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lee Clark, her parents Earl and Alfreda (Roe) Shears and three brothers Delano (Alice) Shears, Irving Shears and Neil (Julie) Shears.
Friends may call Sunday May 10 th from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky Ohio. A viewing will also be done Monday May 11th at The Chapel 4444 Galloway Road Sandusky Ohio from 10:00 am until time of A Celebation of Life Service at 11:00 am. Pastor Dave Brown will officiate with internment to follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron Ohio.
