Loxley Collins, 81, of Norwalk, Ohio, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Twilight Gardens Home.
He was born January 2, 1934 in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Wayne and Dora P. (Lawson) Collins, and came to this area when he was 17 years old from Kentucky.
Loxley was a member of Trinity Temple, and was a former employee of Casper Foundry in Lorain, Ohio. He enjoyed traveling, playing the guitar, and singing in church.
Loxley is survived by his wife, Judith Collins of Norwalk, Ohio, by his sons, Loxley Collins Jr. of Lorain, Ohio, and Tommy Young, by his daughters, Sandra Hughes of Middlesboro, Kentucky Judy Cochran of Elyria, Ohio, Brenda, and Drema Perez of Norwalk, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and by his sisters, Beloise Peterson of Barbersville, Kentucky, Havanna Butler of Prosper, Kentucky, and Vera Moore of Wellington, Ohio, and by his brothers, Herman (Blanche) Collins of Prosper, Kentucky, and James Wayne (Betty) Collins of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Loxley was preceded in death by his brother, Langley Collins, and by his sisters, Ruby Golden, Garnett Brown, Ruth Marcum, and Jewel Lee.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Temple, St, Rt. 113 East, Milan, Ohio. Pastor Jack Kiskaden will officiate.
