JoAnn Felske, 81, of Castalia died Friday evening, May 8, 2015 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.
She was born December 7, 1933 in Memphis, TN and had lived in Castalia since 1953.
She was employed at the former Castalia Bank as a bank teller until her retirement. Prior to this, she had worked at the former Kuhn's Market in Castalia. JoAnn was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia. She spent the last fifteen winters in North Fort Myers, FL in Fountainview Park.
She is survived by her sons, Terry (Fay) Felske of Huron and Larry (Theresa Sells) Felske of Castalia; one daughter, Patricia (Charlie) Grahl of Sandusky; seven grandchildren, Cheryl, Richard, Erich, Sarah, Tabatha, Alyssa and Logan; seven great grandchildren, Benjamin, Rochelle, Kyler, Ava, James, Harper and Jack; one sister, Hazel of Memphis, TN; companion Joe Rutkowski of Millsboro, DE, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard P. Felske in 2007; her parents, Sol and Elva (Wilson) Radford; five brothers and six sisters.
Friends may call Monday, May 11, 2015 from 4-8:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky and Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 9:30 until time of service at 10:30 in the Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington Street, Castalia. Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate. Burial will be held in the Castalia Cemetery.
