Paul E. Blazer, 82, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 10, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Paul was born on September 20, 1932 in Gallipolis, OH to the late Verne and Roxi (Rader) Blazer.
Paul was a Veteran of the U.S. Airforce who proudly served his country from 1950 to 1953. He was employed at Ford Motor Company in Lorain for 33 years before retiring in 1991. Paul taught Sunday school and adult Bible study for 13 years at the Church of God. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing guitar and singing, and spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy (Sowards) Blazer, whom he married on November 17, 1956. He is also survived by his daughter, Paula Blazer Danos; sons, Steven and Jeffrey Blazer; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his son, Mark in 1989 and 4 siblings.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky.
