It's been a long strange trip, but this stage of the journey has come to an end for Perry McGraw Sr. On Friday evening, in his home, with his sons at his side, he left us here and joined his wife, Kristi, finally at peace and together again. No more pain, no more sorrow. Only open roads, warm breezes, and the thrum of the motorcycles as they ride down heavens highway.

Perry was born August 14, 1957, to James McGraw Sr. and the late Elsa Jean McGraw. He grew up in Sandusky and lived there most of his adult life. Perry was an avid motorcyclist and was only truly enjoying himself when he was on one of his Harleys. A Vietnam Era veteran, Perry served in the US Navy from 1974 until 1978. He shared many wonderful stories of his voyages around the world. He was a certified AMF mechanic, and worked at Meijer from 1996 until his early retirement in 2014. Perry made friends wherever he went. From shore to shore there are people who will miss his greatest gift, his storytelling. No one could do that with his passion,

Perry leaves behind many loved ones- his sons, Perry (Angela) McGraw II, Castalia and John (Jill) McGraw, Sandusky;his stepchildren Kris (Luna) Huffman of Virginia Beach, Tiffany Newcomb, and Caleb Newcomb, both of Sandusky; 4 grandchildren Hope McGraw, Makayla McGraw, Perry "Tre" McGraw III, Castalia, and Ana Klotz, Sandusky; his father James (Joyce) McGraw Sr. Ocala FL; a sister Peggy (Andrew) Scheurer, New Port Richie, FL; brother James McGraw II, New Port Richie; his former wife and friend Kim (James) Steible; men-at-his-side Dennis (Maryann) Hackett, St Pete FL, Ed (Esther) Glenn, Mansfield, Patrick "PJ" Klein and Dale(Sandy)Yates, both of Sandusky; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Perry was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Kristina Huffman-McGraw in 2013; his mother; his maternal (Lloyd, Marjorie and Wilma McCready) and paternal (Leo and Opal McGraw) grandparents;his brothers Michael Wargo, Tim Harkleroad, Scott Harkleroad,Troy Ewing, Zipper, Roaddog, City Limits; and his much loved brother-in-law Jim Rickard.

At Perry's request, cremation has taken place. A service to share his stories and love will be held at Perry's Christian home, NorthPointe Baptist Church on Rt 4 in Sandusky, Ohio at 6pm on Friday, May 22, 2015. Pastor Walley Gilbert, the man who lead Perry to the Lord in his youth, will help us see him to Heaven's door in this time of sorrow. Please join us there as we celebrate Perry's life. R

ansom Funeral and Cremation Service, Castalia, was in charge of the arrangements.
