Timothy P. Snyder, 57, of Bay View, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
He was born June 23, 1957, in Sandusky, and was a graduate of Margaretta High School.
He owned and operated Snyder's Automotive in Bay View, retired as fire chief of the Bay View Fire Department, and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife Tracey; two sons Timothy Snyder, Jr., and Steven Snyder both of Sandusky; two grandsons Taylor Snyder and Timothy Snyder III; 9 step-grandchildren; 4 step-sons David and Charlie Barnhart, and Ron and Brian Wilson; two sisters Tamala Taylor of Bay View, and Vicky Link of Sandusky; two brothers Thomas (Debbie) Snyder of Bay View, and Paul (Becky) Nemitz of Bay View; step-mother Cora Snyder of Bay View; step-sister Linda Laws of Sandusky; step-brother Bobby Andrews of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his father Paul "Skeeter" Snyder, and his mother Roberta Robertson.
Friends may call from 2-8 PM Sunday, May 31, 2015, in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington Street, Castalia, where services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, June 1, 2015. Entombment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
The family would like everyone to dress casual, and join them for a luncheon following the service in the banquet hall behind the Ransom Funeral Home.
