Eva Grace Pool, 79, of Sandusky, departed this life on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 Winchester Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Home Facility, Canal Winchester, OH.
She was born on October 4, 1935 in Waynesboro, MS to the union of Henry Bo and Lula Jordan. Eva grew up with family in Mississippi and then moved to Sandusky in 1970. After moving to Sandusky, she started attending, and later became a member of, Emmanuel Temple Church. She was baptized and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. Mother Pool was faithful to her church, where she enjoyed praising the Lord.
Eva was a dedicated employee of Firelands Hospital in Environmental Services, where she retired after 25 years of service.
Eva is survived by her sister Helen (John) Clay; sister-in-law, Ossie (Rogers) Jordan; daughters, Sharlene Warren, Alice (Robert) Scott, Demetric Clinton, and Angela Porter; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lula Mae Jordan; husband, Deacon Pool; sister, Hazel Cooley; brother, Eddie Mac Jordan; and son-in-law, David Lee Clinton, Sr.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11 A.M. at Emmanuel Temple Church, 128 E. Adams St., Sandusky. Bishop Rufus G.W. Sanders will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
